Shocking Photos Expose Cats at Play

A photojournalist working undercover among house cats captured candid photos of how the felines play when the humans are away.

She shared these first samples anonymously to protect the cover she uses in her ongoing work exploring the secret life and worldview of cats.

Her samples are shocking. 

And that nonsense about only humans possessing opposable thumbs? Guess again. Cats can pop open beer cans and they have a preference for expensive Belgian ales.

 

 

And when the pet cat suddenly disappears overnight, scaring everyone to no end? You're out searching the neighborhood and pleading for help on social media, and where's your cat?

 

They go out to bars. Kitty bars!

 It gets worse. According to the International Pet Association, thousands of Americans each year report pets gone missing. In fact "missing" is not an accurate description. 

Cats have whole resorts with beachside poker games, tennis courts, and discos.
